TOWNEW Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TOWNEW ("TOWNEW", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit townew.com (including the Chinese-language pages under /zh/) or contact us through the site. This policy covers the website only. Products, apps and services we provide separately may have their own privacy notices.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us (inquiry form)

When you submit the "Contact Sales / Contact us" form we collect:

• Required: name, email address, your message, and your confirmation that you agree to this policy.
• Optional: country/region, company name, and the product model(s) you are interested in.

2.2 Information collected automatically with a form submission

Together with each submission we record the date and time (UTC), your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the page you submitted from, the referring page, and the site language you were using. We use this to handle your inquiry, prevent spam and abuse, and keep our records secure. The form also contains a hidden anti-spam field that is not visible to people.

2.3 Browsing the website

When you browse the site our web server processes technical data, such as your IP address and the requested page, so it can deliver the pages to you securely. We do not keep web server access logs of your browsing.

2.4 Browser storage (no tracking cookies)

The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it loads no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. It stores two small, strictly necessary values in your browser:

• townew_pref_lang (localStorage): remembers the language you chose.
• townew_lang_routed (sessionStorage): prevents repeated automatic language redirects during one visit. It is deleted when you close the tab.

You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.

2.5 Links to other sites

Our pages link to our social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X) and to third-party media articles. Those sites receive data only if you click through, and their own privacy policies apply. Product videos and images are served from our own domain.

3. How we use your information and legal bases

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We will not send you marketing emails unless you separately agree to receive them.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose it to:

• Service providers acting on our instructions, such as our cloud hosting provider in the United States.
• Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
• A successor entity in a merger, acquisition or asset transfer.

5. International transfers

Our website server is located in the United States. Our team may access inquiries from China and other countries where TOWNEW operates. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or, for information covered by the PIPL, the mechanisms required under Chinese law, including providing notice and obtaining separate consent where required.

6. How long we keep information

• Inquiry records: kept for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless they become part of a business relationship or must be kept longer by law.
• Spam and abuse data in inquiry records (IP, user-agent): deleted or anonymised after 12 months.
• Browser storage: kept on your device until you clear it. Session storage ends when you close the tab.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption (HSTS), a restrictive Content Security Policy, password-protected access to inquiry records, rate limiting, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access your personal information and receive a copy of it (portability);
• correct inaccurate information;
• have information deleted;
• restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it;
• California and other US states: know what we collect, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not be discriminated against for using your rights;
• China (PIPL): know and decide on processing, access, copy, correct, delete, request explanation of our processing rules, and, in some cases, transfer your information;
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To use these rights, email oversea@townew.com. We may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within the time required by law. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf, with proof of authorisation.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 (under 14 for China), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will provide additional notice where the law requires it.
