Refills and compatibility

Can I use regular trash bags with TOWNEW?

Ordinary bags may be installed manually in some situations, but they are not the supported automatic format. The recovered guide says TOWNEW refill rings are required to retain self-sealing and model-dependent fresh-bag placement.

WHAT THE ARCHIVE SAYS

The bag shape is part of the system.

TOWNEW refill rings hold continuous liner material in a shape designed for the internal sealing system. Installing a loose grocery or trash bag bypasses that format.

T1 and T Air Lite share one recovered format.

Historical pages consistently pair T1 and T Air Lite with the same refill family, described as providing up to 25 liners per ring.

T3 Slim uses a different ring.

The recovered T3 refill family is a separate format described as providing up to 20 liners per ring. It should not be treated as interchangeable with T1 or T Air Lite rings.

Black was the recovered bag color.

The historical support article says transparent bags were not offered because a sensor would not work correctly with a clear bag. The specific sensor was not identified in the recovered text.

STEP BY STEP

Before replacing a refill ring

  1. Confirm the model name on the product label or original documentation.

  2. Match T1 and T Air Lite to the T1 / T Air Lite refill format.

  3. Match T3 or T3 Slim to the T3 Slim refill format.

  4. Place the matching ring into the refill compartment without forcing it.

  5. Confirm the liner can feed freely before starting a sealing cycle.

SAFETY AND LIMITS

Stop before a small issue becomes a mechanical one.

  • Do not describe ordinary bags as officially compatible merely because one can be fitted manually.
  • Using an ordinary bag removes the recovered self-sealing and automatic fresh-bag workflow.
  • The historical 3 kg / 6 lb filled-bag statement appeared only in the T1 / T Air Lite context and is not presented here as a current load rating.
  • Current pack size, material, disposal instructions, and compatibility must be checked against current packaging.
