WHAT THE ARCHIVE SAYS

A lightly dampened cloth is the recovered method.

The historical article recommends wiping dirt or waste from the T3 with a lightly dampened cloth, with or without a compatible cleaner.

Cleaner compatibility matters.

Any cleaning product should be explicitly suitable for ABS, or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, plastic.

Splash resistance is not washability.

Recovered product material mentions IPX3 splash resistance, while the care article explicitly prohibits rinsing or soaking. Both limits should be read together.

STEP BY STEP

Clean the exterior safely

  1. Wait until the lid, sealing bars, and bag-changing mechanism have stopped moving.

  2. Remove loose dry debris without pushing it into the sensor or mechanism.

  3. Dampen a soft cloth lightly; it should not drip.

  4. If needed, apply an ABS-safe cleaner to the cloth rather than directly to the bin.

  5. Wipe the affected exterior surface gently.

  6. Let the surface dry fully before operating or charging the product.

SAFETY AND LIMITS

Stop before a small issue becomes a mechanical one.

  • Do not rinse the T3 under running water.
  • Do not soak or submerge any part of the product.
  • Do not spray liquid into the sensor, button, charging port, lid, or sealing mechanism.
  • If liquid has entered the mechanism or electrical area, stop using the product and seek current support guidance.
